About Me:
Please have a look at Integral Options Cafe in order to get a sense of what matters to me and who I am. Or strike up a conversation by email.
I also run The Masculine Heart, a blog devoted to issues for men, about men, and about masculinity.
I am a freelance writer and certified personal trainer. Most of my writing is in the form of articles on spirituality and psychology, or children's stories, especially folktales. I do phone and email consultations on diet, nutrition, and program design.
I hold an MA in humanities (English and comparative religion). I am also certified in Level I & II SDi, Personal Emergence.
I am the editor of Elegant Thorn Review, a spiritual poetry and photography blog. I'm always looking for spiritually intelligent poetry and photography, so please send me something inspiring (go to the site to see the submissions guidelines).
Here are some things I believe, said by people who are more eloquent than I am:
”Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.” ~ Aristotle
“In the Dzogchen tradition, if Spirit has any meaning, it must be omnipresent, or all-pervading and all-encompassing. There can't be a place Spirit is not, or it wouldn't be infinite. Therefore, Spirit has to be completely present, right here, right now, in your own awareness. That is, your own present awareness, precisely as it is, without changing it or altering it in any way, is perfectly and completely permeated by Spirit….You are looking directly at Spirit, with Spirit, in every act of awareness. There is nowhere Spirit is not.” ~ Ken Wilber, Grace and Grit
